Attracting as many visitors as possible to your stand is one of the objectives of participating in a trade fair. After all, you don't want a prospect to walk past you. So standing out is very important, because visitors to a trade fair decide within a few seconds whether they want to visit your stand or not. Good lighting makes you stand out more and increases the chances of the prospect visiting your stand.

If you stand out well during the trade fair, visitors are more likely to come into contact with your product and/or company. Most of the lighting used in an exhibition stand is not good enough. The specialists of 2FAIR like to think along with you about the best lighting plan, so that your stand will shine and get the attention that it deserves.

Good lighting makes you stand out. You put your stand in the spotlight. In the light, you come across as much more self-assured than when you are standing in the dark. You also show that you really have something to offer, a message or product that is worthwhile. With lighting, you can direct your visitors. You can also create the right atmosphere with good lighting.

Tell our experts your wishes and goals, so we can provide the right stand with lighting. This way, you will get the most out of your trade fair participation. It is important for us to have the following matters clear, so that during the briefing the right information will come forward and 2FAIR can make sure that your stand stands stand out well and attract the right visitors to your stand.

Which colours fit your exhibition stand?

Thanks to the rise of LED, the possibilities of using colours in lighting have increased. Colours are not only "nice to look at", but also have certain effects on the atmosphere and mood of the people present. With LED lighting, you can go many ways when it comes to light colour. It is also important to know that there can be a difference in the light intensity of LED lighting. In addition to determining the right colour temperature, it is also important to look at the lumen output and the beam angle of an LED lamp.

It is wise to find out in advance which colour has which effect, so that you can determine what is best for your purposes.

White light is associated by the human brain with clean, bright, transparent, pure, innocent. White light is closest to daylight. Therefore, the colours of objects are least distorted in white light and white is the most commonly used light colour in everyday life.

Red is the most intense colour for the human eye and brain. Red represents energy and can also evoke sultry, erotic feelings. Red is also the most visible colour to humans.

Orange is the most cheerful colour of light. Orange represents the combination of happiness (yellow) and red (energy). This colour stimulates, warms, creates creativity and is cheerful.

Yellow is the colour of the sun and is therefore associated with feelings of happiness, joy and carefreeness. Bright yellow is an eye-catcher, especially when combined with a dark colour.

Green is the colour of nature and represents feelings of harmony, fertility, freshness, youth and growth. Together with blue, it is the most calming colour.

Blue stands for stability, peace, loyalty and wisdom. It is the colour of the sky and the sea. It is a less creative and emotionally stimulating colour than, for example, orange and red. Use blue light to create a moment of peace and calm.

Colour is therefore important and the right choice of colour can make the desired message and/or product stand out. The right colour can also make the visitor stay longer at the stand or trigger an action.

Who is your target group and adjust your lighting accordingly?

There are many distractions on the exhibition floor and you don't have much time to convince your visitor to come to your stand. Good lighting is a reason for your visitor to visit your stand.

Your message must stand out and be easy to read. Both on the stand and from the aisles. Only then are you interesting and worth a visit. Our light boxes integrated in the stand can be an ideal solution for this. Illuminating a message from behind makes it stand out and attracts attention.

Spotlights create warmth and make the stand intimate. The result is that visitors stay longer at the stand. This in turn can ensure that account managers have more time to acquire new customers.

Lighting is also very important for the target group you want to attract to your stand. So you have to think carefully about this. An older target group does not like strong light, bright colours or flashy light and will be less inclined to visit your stand. A young target group, on the other hand, will be attracted by bright light or vivid colours. LED strips and LED screens also attract the attention of young people.

Use LED lighting exclusively

LED lighting is the best choice for an exhibition stand. At least for the stand that is built by 2FAIR. After all, LED lighting is the most economical and therefore the most sustainable solution. Moreover, LED lights are of good quality, they radiate heat, they are available in multiple colours and shades and can be made dimmable.

Spotlights will often be chosen. These are easy to integrate into the stand. Floodlights can be used if you want to uniformly illuminate a large part of your stand or space. A floodlight has a wide beam and is easy to mount on top of the stand.

Draw up a lighting plan together with our experts

Every trade fair location is different. It is important to get a good idea of the situation on the trade fair floor beforehand in order to draw up a good lighting plan. Take a good look at the floor plan in advance and possibly watch videos of previous editions. It is important to know where you will be standing in the hall. Is it the middle of the exhibition floor or are you standing in a corner? Which stands will be close to your stand. A 4-metre stand will draw more light away from you than a 2.5-metre stand. And is there daylight or will the exhibition hall be dark?

The lighting plan must clearly show what the objectives are, which products need to be highlighted, what the main message is and what the target group is that needs to be drawn to your stand.

Lighting in your stand can make a raised floor desirable. The raised floor ensures that the cables can be neatly concealed and are therefore not visible.

At 2FAIR, you can choose from different types of lighting. Our account managers will gladly help you.
